FAQ’s – All you need to know about getting to the Sala Montjuïc
The questions most frequently asked by spectators at Sala Montjuïc.

What happens if it rains?
If the Sala Montjuïc organisers decide not to open the doors due to rain (at 8.30 pm), refunds will be given to all those who bought their tickets in advance. If the session is cancelled due to rain once it has started (up to 10.30 pm), spectators will be given the option of attending any other session free of cost.
Can we reserve loungers in advance?
Sorry, no, you cannot reserve loungers in advance. There are 500 loungers for hire, a number that is limited in order to ensure that both lounger users and those sitting on the ground will be completely comfortable.
Can we bring our own chairs?
Of course! But please make sure that they are low chairs, so that you do not block the vision of people behind you. You can also bring towels or blankets to sit on the grass…
What does the price include?
The ticket price (€6,50 for all screenings) includes the warm-up concert and the film. There is only one type of ticket; you can’t buy tickets for just the concert or just the film.
Can I bring my own food?
Of course! Whatever you like, from a sandwich to a full picnic! However, bar and restaurant services are available on site. The Xiringuito del Seco bar serves fantastic eco-pícnics.
Can I buy tickets at the site itself?
The organisers always reserve a limited number of tickets for sale at the Sala Montjuïc itself. If you get here early, you will usually be lucky. If you plan to arrive just at opening time, we recommend that you buy your tickets in advance.
Where can I catch the bus to take me straight to Sala Montjuïc? What times do they run?
The free bus service straight up to Sala Montjuïc departs from Plaça Espanya, outside the Tourist Information Point (Punt d’Informació Turístic) on the corner of Avinguda Paral·lel and Avinguda Maria Cristina. Buses to the site leave at 8.15 and 9.30 pm. Return times depend on when the film ends.
Can I park near Montjuïc Castle?
There are free parking areas near Montjuïc Castle (Castell de Montjuïc). Depending on the time you arrive, you may have to walk for 5 or 10 minutes to get to Sala Montjuïc.
Is it cold at Sala Montjuïc?
It is a bit cooler than in the city centre. It is always a good idea to bring a blanket or sweater… Then you’ll be completely comfortable and ready to enjoy the film!
Can we bring dogs or other pets?
No, animals are not allowed in the Sala Montjuïc. Although we are in the open air, all pets should stay at home :(
Are all the films in original version?
